The peace is reigning here, the birds are singing, and the wind whispers to the leaves of the century-old oaks. Putnu Street is one of those little streets in Ziepniekkalns, hidden from the hustle of main nearby roads and crowded residential areas. This quiet corner next to Bie\u0137engr\u0101vis canal used to be an outskirt of Riga in the days of old, with a few small manors and the cows grazing on the meadows. Such street names as M\u0101lu (Clay), K\u0101\u013cu (Turnip) or Kartupe\u013cu (Potato) bear the evidence of the rural living. The construction of the house is planned to be finished by the end of 2015.<\/p>\n
